Love of Learning Gallery

Year 2 enjoyed a lovely art lesson. They applied their taught and learnt skills to their independent still life artwork piece. The children were able to sketch their still life scene from observation and then mix the paints to create a range of hues for accuracy and depth.

The children in Year 2 enjoyed making Eton Mess as part of their DT learning by following each step of a given recipe carefully. The children each had a taste and evaluated the method followed by discussing improvements if they were to make it again. 

The Year 2 children had a wonderful visit to the West Lancashire Light Railway. The visit supported their history learning on Significant People and Places in their Local Area. A huge thank you goes out to the volunteers at the Railway for always making us feel so welcome and for bringing the trip to life for the children. The huge smiles on each child's face shows that it was definitely a memorable, hands-on learning experience 🙂
