Times Table Rock Stars (TTRS): Children should be completing 20mins of Garage and 5 Soundcheck games per week. Spellings lists are given out on a Friday and tested on the following Friday. |

A very warm welcome to our Year 4 class page.
Our learning is rich and engaging, filled with opportunities to ask questions, be creative, grow in confidence and develop resilience. In English we become authors writing our own descriptive tales and develop our writing skills through a variety of writing opportunities; including diary entries written in role and letter writing. We particuarly enjoyed reading the Pied Piper of Hamlin and this half term we are reading Charlotte's Web. Science brings us fascinating information about how living things are classified and introduces us to classification keys to identify living things, while in geography, we explore the characteristics and features of rivers and mountain ranges around the world. Our artistic talents shine through as we study and create block prints in the style of William Morris and design a motif inspired by nature.
In Year 4 we are courageous advocates where we support, champion and speak out for a cause that is meaningful to us. We work hard to be the best versions of ourselves and live out our school and Christian values of kindness, respect and perseverance in everything we do.

Drinks and Snacks: Toast can be ordered in school each day for the children to eat during morning break time. If you wish to send a snack from home, as we are a 'Healthy School,' please ensure this is fruit. Please send your child to school with a water bottle everyday!
