Headteacher's Welcome

A very warm welcome to All Saints, Hesketh-with-Becconsall Church of England Primary School. We are a one-form entry primary school, with a nursery. We have very strong links to our community - especially our local church, All Saints.

It is very important to all the staff and governors at our school that we live out our Mission Statement, 'What we are is God’s gift to us, what we become is our gift to God' as well as being mindful of our biblical root from Ephesians chapter 2, verse 10, 'We are God's handiwork'.   We are committed to nurturing the development of the whole child. Whilst we challenge each child to reach their full academic potential, through our daily acts of Collective Worship; playtimes; wider curriculum and enrichment opportunities, we seek to develop the spiritual, social and emotional needs of each of our children. We celebrate our differences, recognising that we are all made in God’s image.

From Nursery to Year Six, our curriculum is grounded wherever possible in first-hand and practical experiences, making learning fun and relevant. We use the subject specialisms of our staff to give all children the best possible education. Music, Performing Arts and PE are recognised as subjects that allow children to show their full creativity and develop confidence. We are committed to broad and balanced curriculum – with every subject having a valued place.

We have a strong partnership with our parents, some of whom play an active part in our “Friends of School” group. This body work really hard to ensure that our children have a variety of social events to enjoy beyond the school day and look for opportunities for our families to social together, whilst raising money for the good of the school.

We have a weekly awards assembly called, “All Saints’ Got Talent,” where families can come and share celebrating individual children’s efforts and achievements over the week. Our website and weekly newsletters give a taste of what school life is like, so please take the time to have a look at them.

I am incredibly proud to be the Headteacher of this school. Our children are a joy to be with. Their positivity and love of learning, make our school a fantastic place to be.
